The Honda Civic is an automobile manufactured by Honda. It was introduced in July 1972 as a two-door sedan, followed by a 3-door hatchback version that September. With the transverse engine placement of its 1169 cc engine and front wheel drive, like the British Mini, the car provided good interior space despite overall small dimensions.
Early models of the Civic were typically outfitted with a basic AM radio, rudimentary heater, foam cushioned plastic trim, two-speed wipers, and painted steel rims with a chromed wheel nut cap. The current Civic has become much more luxurious with satellite-linked navigation, a six-speed manual, power locks and power windows available. Still, many regard the Civic as representing a good value for the money, combining good performance, reliability and economy, as well as a very low rate of depreciation, resulting in a low total cost per mile or per year. |

The Acura Integra, sold as a Honda in most of the world, was a small, sporty vehicle sold primarily as a hatchback. It was Acura's smallest, least expensive model, designed to offer a competitor to vehicles like the Volkswagen Golf GTI, which was the most well known and popular "hot hatch" of the 1980s when the Integra was introduced. Although a sedan was available for the 1986-1989, 1990-1993 and 1994-2001 generations, it was dropped when the vehicle transitioned to its current fourth-generation "DC5" platform, which is now sold as the RSX in North America. Enthusiasts refer to the Acura TSX as the second coming of the Integra GS-R sedan.

The Acura RSX is an automobile sold by Honda Motor Corporation. In the North America and Hong Kong, the vehicle was marketed as the replacement for the Acura-badged version of the Integra, however Honda continues to sell the vehicle as the Honda Integra in Japan, Australia, New Zealand, and elsewhere. It is available in base and "Type-S" trim levels in North America, and a "Integra iS / Integra Type S" and "Type R" version sold Japan and Oceania. However, to add to the confusion, the "Type R" sold in Oceania is very similar to the "Type-S" sold in North America, and the Integra line naming in Oceania have recently been realigned so it's similar to North American conventions. In other places, (eg. Hong Kong, Singapore) only the base version is available.

Nissan Terrano Regulus are mid-size sport utility vehicles introduced in 1997 as rebadged Nissan Pathfinders. The Infiniti QX4 was sold in the North American market, while the Nissan Terrano Regulus sold in Japan. Major differences between these vehicles and the Pathfinder include a more advanced four wheel drive system, a more upscale interior, and unique styling. Although it is a luxury vehicle, it is quite capable off-road due to its low range four wheel drive system and 8.3 inches of ground clearance.
The QX4 received its first major redesign in 2001, increasing its power from a relatively weak 168 hp (125 kW) to a comparative 240 hp (179 kW) engine. This redesign also gave the QX4 an updated exterior and interior body style, including features such as a new dash, 17 in (423 mm) alloy wheels and Xenon HID headlamps. In Japan, the Terrano Regulus shortened its name to Terrano and was restyled like the Pathfinder instead. In 2004, Infiniti redesigned the QX4 to become the larger, full-size Infiniti QX56, based on the Nissan Armada. |

The Mazda Millenia was originally planned as the smaller of two luxury cars for Mazda's luxury brand, Amati. As Mazda's dwindling finances no longer permitted the launch of the Amati brand, the Millenia was launched in the autumn of 1993 in Europe (as the Xedos9) and Japan (as the Eunos 800) under the Mazda brand. The car was launched in the US in 1995 as the Millenia, and replaced the 929 as Mazda's top-line car.
Having been developed for a separate audience from typical Mazda customers, the Millenia boasted a myriad of finer details. It was engineered to far greater levels of perceived quality than existing Mazda cars, such as interior plastic, panel gap and thicker paint coating. The Millenia was assembled along the Xedos6 in a new production line presumably set up for Amati cars. The Millenia does not have a predecessor or replacement in the Mazda product line. It appears to have received a brand-new platform, although suspension at both ends resembled that of the 1991 Mazda Sentia. It is the only production car in the world to employ a Miller cycle engine. Yaw-sensitive 4-wheel steering was available as an option in Japan; Mazda claimed that with this feature, the Millenia was capable of passing the elk test at speeds comparable to the BMW 850i, surpassing the Z32 Nissan 300ZX. In 1997 the Japanese Eunos 800 was also renamed the Millenia as Mazda reorganized its Eunos dealership network. This name change was accompanied by a s |

The Miata is the world's best-selling sports car, with 720,407 cars produced and sold between February 1989 and March 31, 2005. Beginning with the third-generation 2006 model, Mazda consolidated worldwide marketing using the MX-5 name, though enthusiasts in the U.S.A. steadfastly refer to it as a Miata, a name that means "reward" in Old High German.

The Nissan Pathfinder and Terrano are midsize SUVs. Where as the Pathfinder is sold in North America, the name first introduced in 1986, elsewhere in the world the vehicle was known as the Terrano.
The first generation continued until 1995. The second generation was introduced in 1996 with more rounded styling. For the 1999 1/2 model year, the Pathfinder was freshened. 2001 brought a new 240 hp (179 kW) V6 engine, the VQ35DE. At the 2004 North American International Auto Show, Nissan unveiled a completely redesigned Pathfinder for the 2005 model year. The new Pathfinder uses Nissan's F-Alpha platform, and is powered by a 4.0 L V6 engine VQ40DE (270 hp, 291 ft·lbf). Until 2003, most Pathfinders were built in Japan, before shifting production to Smyrna, Tennessee. In late 2003, a fullsize SUV, the Pathfinder Armada, debuted. Although they share a common name, they have little similarity and use different platforms. The Armada no longer uses the "Pathfinder" prefix. The Pathfinder is sold as the Terrano in many markets outside of North America. In 2005, a redesigned Pathfinder was released and the Pathfinder name became international as it sold worldwide. It surpassed the Murano in size recently, and now slots between the Murano and Armada. |

The Pontiac Vibe is a car produced in Fremont, California, in the United States by NUMMI (New United Motor Manufacturing, Inc), a shared endeavor between General Motors and Toyota. Prototypes were shown at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit in January 2000 and production vehicles came on the market in 2002 for the 2003 model year.
It is a short and tall station wagon that is being marketed as a trendy, quasi-SUV vehicle for younger buyers. Toyota calls their North American version the Matrix, although lack of capacity at the NUMMI plant means that the Matrix is produced in Cambridge, Ontario, Canada. The car features a standard household-style 115 volt AC electrical outlet so that common electrical devices can be used inside the car without a separate inverter. The Vibe is available in an economical base model, in "sporty" GT trim with more power, or also in an all-wheel drive model. Powertrains available for this car are a 1.8 L I4 16-valve engine producing 126 hp on the base model (manual or automatic transmission), 118 hp on the all-wheel drive model (automatic only), or a version with VVTL-i producing 164 hp for the GT (manual 6-speed only). The Vibe is currently the most fuel efficient vehicle sold by GM in North America. There have been some minor changes between model years. The Vibe was first officially produced in 2002 as a 2003 model. Originally the HP ratings of |

The Subaru Forester, released in the US in 1998, is a lightweight, small crossover SUV (or arguably a station wagon) based on the Subaru Impreza. As with all Subaru models marketed in the United States and other international markets since the early 1990s, the Forester is equipped with an all-wheel drive drivetrain. Subaru advertising employed the slogan "SUV tough, Car Easy" to appeal to the SUV-oriented market; and to this end, the Forester has features associated with SUVs such as a large, boxy cargo area and more ground clearance than other Subaru models (although it employs a car-like unibody chassis, rather than the body-on-frame construction associated with trucks and larger SUVs). The Forester, up until recently was also sold in India as a Chevrolet alongside other Chevrolet models sold there, however since General Motors no longer holds an ownership stake in Subaru's parent company, Fuji Heavy Industries, this arrangement is in question. The Forester is produced at the Gunma Yajima plant in Japan.

The Toyota Celica name has been applied to a series of popular sports cars made by the Japanese company Toyota. The name is derived from the Spanish word for "heavenly" or "celestial".
Through all generations, Celicas have been built around Toyota's high-performance inline-4 engines, although some Celicas are powered by more economical, lower performance 4-cylinder engines. The most significant change between generations occurred in 1986, when the drivetrain was changed from rear wheel drive to front wheel drive. During the first three generations, American market Celicas were powered by various versions of Toyota's R series engines. During the last 4 generations, some top-model Celicas came with a turbocharger and most recently, variable valve timing. Through seven generations, the model has gone through many revisions and design forks, including the Toyota Celica Supra (later known as the Toyota Supra). Other versions include a four wheel drive turbocharged model (designated All-trac in the US or GT-Four in Japan and Europe, produced from 1986 to 1999), a liftback model, and a convertible model. |

The Toyota Land Cruiser is a series of popular four wheel drive automobiles from the Toyota Motor Corporation of Japan. Originally, they were strictly utility vehicles, but they now are available as SUVs. The Land Cruiser is widely used around the world in areas which require durability, reliability and off road performance. The Land Cruiser along with the Hilux pickup truck is symbolic of Toyota's legendary toughness and both trucks are used around the world in grueling terrains and climates with poor roads for many many years before they are no longer usable. For 2007, it will become the only Japanese-built fullsize SUV for the United States, since the Lexus LX (the Land Cruiser's twin) is being discontinued for the North American market.
Its widespread use as the transport of choice for militia units and irregular forces in developing countries has served as a testament to their reliability and toughness. The U.S. market Land Cruiser is sold in the United Kingdom and Ireland as the Toyota Land Cruiser Amazon. Created as a competitor to other off-road vehicles such as the Land Rover and the Jeep, in many places the Land Cruiser is ubiquitous and has almost eliminated other all wheel drive vehicles from the market. |

The Toyota Prius is the world's first commercially mass-produced and marketed hybrid automobile, manufactured by Toyota. It entered sale in Japan in 1997, and in the worldwide market in 2001. By the end of 2003, nearly 160,000 units had been produced for sale in Japan, Europe, and North America. In Latin, prius means "before" or "first". With the 2004 model, the Prius was redesigned as a midsize hatchback, and certified as an Advanced Technology Partial zero-emissions vehicle (AT-PZEV). The Toyota RAV4 (pronounced "rav-four") is a compact crossover SUV built and marketed by the Toyota Motor Corporation. It was introduced in Japan in 1994 and in the US in 1996 to cater to consumers wanting a vehicle that had most of the benefits of SUVs, such as increased cargo room, higher visibility, and the option of four wheel drive, along with the maneuverability and fuel economy of a smaller car. The early success of the RAV4 paved the way for other compact SUVs such as the Honda CR-V, the Ford Escape/Mazda Tribute, and the Subaru Forester. Its name stands for "Recreational Activity Vehicle, 4-wheel drive," although not all models have four wheel drive as this is optional in some countries.
